We found these Cold Hardy tomatoes at Wight's is Lynnwood. I don't have the scientific name right now, so I will post the name later. We will be saving seeds. These plants are Organically grown, so may not be as pretty as the store bought ones, but are much better tasting!
When we talk about Cold Hardy Tomatoes we are referring to the root hardiness since Tomatoes typically won't grow if the night time temperature falls below 50 degrees. This plant was placed near the house on a Southern exposure and currently has about 75 large tasty tomatoes starting to turn Red. My kids have been picking a few off to eat for a the last month, and there are a lot more ready to turn right now. There is also a picture of a good looking cabbage plant she harvested right after the picture was taken!
